100th Anniversary of Our Lady Of Fatima Prayer Card

On May 13, 1917, the Blessed Virgin Mary miraculously appeared to three poor shepherd children in Fatima. Between May and October of 1917, Our Lady appeared five more times, each time on the 13th of the month.

She identified herself as Our Lady of the Rosary and gave the children an urgent message for the whole world. The Mother of Jesus desired for souls to avoid Hell and to warn us of the coming tragedies that would happen if we didn't repent and change our ways.

Lucia, the oldest of the three children described the vision of Hell they were shown as a "sea of fire in which we saw the souls in human forms, men and women, burning, shouting, and crying in despair." Mary said to the children, "You have seen Hell where sinners go when they don’t repent."

‘The Fatima Prayer

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen.”

After showing the children Hell, Mary expressly asked for the Fatima prayer to be recited.

She said, "Each time you say the Rosary, My children, say after each decade, ‘O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen.”

This has become known as "The Fatima Prayer".
