In our lifetime, there’s never been an Easter Sunday quite like what we will experience this year. All over the world, Catholics will participate in Mass in their own homes in front of the television, computer or radio (maybe even on their phones). Many will feel alone, yet we know that the angels and saints in heaven rejoice alongside us. Many will have heavy hearts as they grieve the loss of loved ones, yet we trust in the Lord and His plans for us.

Now is the time to persevere in faith together. We must encourage each other to find joy, peace and strength in Christ as we continue this battle. Our religious leaders know the importance of uniting and standing together under the protection of the Blessed Mother during these uncertain times, which is why they are coming together to pray the Holy Rosary once every hour for 24 hours, starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday—the exact hour when the Easter Vigil would traditionally begin.

Hallow, a Catholic prayer and meditation app, will host this event through Zoom and Facebook Live so that all can join in. Each hour will begin with the Holy Rosary and the remaining time will be spent in quiet meditation and adoration. The rosary will be prayed in a variety of languages by thousands of people across the world, and will be led by various leaders in the Catholic community. Leah Darrow, Jason Evert, Katie Prejean McGrady, Damon Owens and so many more are coming together to make this happen.

Visit Hallow.app/24-hour-rosary to sign -up for a time to pray and to submit your prayer intentions. A plenary indulgence will be granted to the faithful who participate in the 24-hour Easter Rosary.
