Through the Pontifical Mission Societies, Pope Francis established a coronavirus emergency relief fund to come to the aid of people and communities who are being tragically impacted by the spread of COVID-19.

Not only only did he establish the fund, he made the first donation to it and personally contributed $750,000 dollars. With his donation he made a heartfelt appeal to all “that are able and desirous to help, to contribute to this fund through the Pontifical Mission Societies in each country.”

This unprecedented time we are living in calls for extraordinary measures, and the Church is working on the front lines to help those affected by the coronavirus crisis. Will you answer Pope Francis’ call and help show them they are not alone?

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? – 1 John 3:17

Your donation will help provide vital health care, as well as basic needs, including food and shelter, through religious Sisters and Brothers, priests, and lay pastoral workers who reach out through hospitals and small clinics, parishes, and social ministries.
