Monday marked International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD), “a global collaborative campaign to raise awareness about childhood cancer and to express support for children and adolescents with cancer, the survivors and their families.”
In a tweet, expressed his closeness to children suffering from cancer, and entrusted their care to the Virgin Mary.
May the Lord inspire everyone to draw near to those who suffer, especially children, and to put the weakest in first place. I entrust the doctors and all sick children to the Virgin Mary so that with her mother affection she might look after them. #ICCDay
