Philippians 2:12-18
12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for God is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. 14 Do all things without grumbling or questioning, 15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. 17 Even if I am to be poured as a libation upon the sacrificial offering of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. 18 Likewise you also should be glad and rejoice with me.

Psalms 27:1, 4, 13-14
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 4 One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. 13 I believe that I shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yea, wait for the LORD!

Luke 14:25-33
25 Now great multitudes accompanied him; and he turned and said to them, 26 “If any one comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. 27 Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple. 28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? 29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, 30 saying, `This man began to build, and was not able to finish.’ 31 Or what king, going to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and take counsel whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an embassy and asks terms of peace. 33 So therefore, whoever of you does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.

  2. The insanity of it all. Why God creates a world that murders his son? A son to defeat death for the sins of mankind?. Why is there sin? Why is there EVIL ? God did not think of this before creating suffering? I beg to differ. God is a mad man. First he says honor and love your parents. Then he says hate them for his sake in following Christ. Why I need to listen to such rubbish? Make me feel I am crazy, when clearly God is a raving lunatic. God creates this mad NIGHTMARE of a world to then boldly claim he is saving us? He gives me life, so he can take it away, to give me life again? What rubbish. That is not Holy whatsoever. And then you have people who murder people, for money on a daily basis, lying, and trying to justify their crimes, with God saying he will save you. So many miracles in the past, and yet the ones he raise from the dead, must die yet again. It is too horrible dear Lord. The contemplation is lost. The reasoning does not reason. Even the thought of suicide is meaningless, because no one can kill the spirit. Not even God can kill the spirit. Therefore pilgrims honor the spirit, not the insanity of death. Because if there was no death, how would Jesus rise from the dead? How would he claim to save you? The Holy Spirit is The only answer and power to the living.
