Galatians 5:18-25
(18) But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. (19) Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, (20) idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, (21) envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom. (22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, (23) gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (24) Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. (25) If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.
Psalms 1:1-4,6
(1) Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; (2) but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. (3) He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper. (4) The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. (6) For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.
Luke 11:42-46
(42) But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, but you bypass justice and God’s love. You ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone. (43) Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seats in the synagogues, and the greetings in the marketplaces. (44) Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like hidden graves, and the men who walk over them don’t know it.” (45) One of the lawyers answered him, “Teacher, in saying this you insult us also.” (46) He said, “Woe to you lawyers also! For you load men with burdens that are difficult to carry, and you yourselves won’t even lift one finger to help carry those burdens.
