Keep us serene and let us not bear false witness against our neighbours. Block judgemental thoughts, turn my back to those who insist on tearing others down in order to build themselves up. Let me not instigate or participate in gossip, in person, by phone or in writing. Let us not be unfairly slandered by others and teach us how to endure criticism heroically, trusting Jesus. Thwart demonic mischief and attack. Cleanse all of my bad habits and turn my eyes often to the Holy Cross. He did that for love of me, let me bravely face the requirements of each day for love of Him. Amen.
