Genesis 1:26-2:3
(26) God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (27) God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. (28) God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (29) God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food. (30) To every animal of the earth, and to every bird of the sky, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food;” and it was so. (31) God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day. (1) The heavens, the earth, and all their vast array were finished. (2) On the seventh day God finished his work which he had done; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done. (3) God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work of creation which he had done.

Colossians 3:14-15,17,23-24
(14) Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. (15) And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. (17) Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him. (23) And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, (24) knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

Psalms 90:2-4,12-14,16
(2) Before the mountains were born, before you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God. (3) You turn man to destruction, saying, “Return, you children of men.” (4) For a thousand years in your sight are just like yesterday when it is past, like a watch in the night. (12) So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (13) Relent, Yahweh! How long? Have compassion on your servants! (14) Satisfy us in the morning with your loving kindness, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. (16) Let your work appear to your servants; your glory to their children.

Matthew 13:54-58
(54) Coming into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom, and these mighty works? (55) Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? (56) Aren’t all of his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all of these things?” (57) They were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house.” (58) He didn’t do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
