What I meant to say earlier is, you SHOULD show picture #3 with the clearer image of the nativity scene. Sorry for the improper grammer. I voted for #3
How about an advent wreath, the one with four candles? I think a nativity scene should not have baby Jesus in it until His birthday. Advent is a time of prepartion and anticaption. Mayby I have taught little children for too many years but that’s just what I think. So I can’t vote on these photos.
I too was brought up where the Baby Jesus wasn’t placed until Midnight on Christmas morning. But at the same time, there is nothing wrong with having a nativity scene with the Blessed Mother, Joseph, and the shepherd boy with the animals awaiting HIS arrival. Then the three kings are place during the Epiphany. =)
Neither of the three really work for Advent due to these being most strongly associated with the Christmas Season. It is the same reason and principle that we don’t put out Easter Lillies and butterflies in the season of Lent – contemplating Easter Sunday and Easter Time.
Advent has it’s own dignity and identity. The Liturgical color is violet and it would be nice and more appropriate to show photo choices that reflect this inside and out. Evergreen trees full of white lights and the nativity scene is strongly identified with Christmas, not Advent. I don’t believe scripture tells of Joseph and Mary waiting in the manger for four weeks prior to Jesus’ birth.

You you show a clear picture of the navtivity scene. That’s what Christmas is all about.
I voted for picture no. 3
voted # 3 as well – as not everyone is American- although I like “Keep Christ in Christmas.”
vote # 3 I love it…
I think the first picture is the best picture, per se. There are better pictures of the nativity out there I reckon.
Vote picture 3#!
I like No. 3. The nativity is beautiful!!!!
Vote #3 , love it so much.

My vote goes to the 3rd one..
I prefer #2 from a color/lighting perspective.
#1 is great for Advent Sunday 1 & 2, then change to #2 for Advent 3 (for Joy), and then the final #3 for Christmas night/Octave of Christmas.
The Nativity scene is a good choice. That’s what Christmas is all about. The waiting and welcoming of the Messiah. Our FAITH.
I agree that the three photos should be rotated in accordance to the 4 weeks of advent…..but at least i voted for pic no.3…….God Bless:)
