President Joe Biden recently publicly disagreed with the Catholic Church’s teachings on in vitro fertilization (IVF).

During a brief encounter with reporters before his departure on Marine One, President Biden was questioned regarding the Church’s teaching that IVF is “immoral and wrong” because it “destroys countless human embryos.”

Biden, a Catholic himself, responded, “I don’t agree with that position.”

Furthermore, President Biden criticized the recent Alabama Supreme Court ruling affirming the personhood of, suggesting it jeopardizes women’s rights and access to certain fertility treatments. He described the ruling as a “direct result of the overturning of Roe v. Wade.”

The Church supports certain fertility treatments but teaches IVF is unethical due to its process, which involves the creation and often destruction of human embryos and separates procreation from the marital act.

Pray for the protection of life!
