In his recent letter to the Medjugorje Youth Festival attendees, Pope Francis urged young participants to avoid complacency and self-interest and to courageously pursue God’s plan for their lives.

The festival, an annual event that attracts thousands of youths worldwide, fosters prayer, reflection, and growth in faith amidst an atmosphere of religious camaraderie.

In his inspiring message, the Pope stated, “Dear young people, God has a plan of love for each one of you. Do not be afraid of His will, but place all your trust in His grace.” This profound assertion was not just a declaration, but an invitation, calling on young believers to surrender their fears and apprehensions and fully trust in God’s divine plan.

Pope Francis then employed the words of Jesus from the Gospel of Matthew to underscore the importance of adhering to God’s will above all else. His words emphasized the unparalleled importance of divine will, a theme he referred to as “a priceless treasure.” It serves as a beacon, illuminating the path to ultimate happiness and fulfillment.

The Pope also highlighted the significance of youth and the important choices to be made. Citing Mary’s example of saying ‘yes’ to God, he said, “Make the most of your youth to lay, together with the Lord, the foundations of your existence, because your personal, professional and social future will depend on the choices you make during these years.”

His message concluded with an optimistic vision, encouraging attendees to become enthusiastic missionaries of the new evangelization, infusing hope and joy into their surroundings and making the world a better place for all.

This inspiring call to action encapsulates the Pope’s key message to the young: trust God, make the most of your youth, and live a life centered around love and service!
