1 Peter 5:5-14
Psalms 89:2-3,6-7,16-17
Mark 16:15-20

1 Peter 5:5-14
(5) Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” (6) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; (7) casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. (8) Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (9) Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings. (10) But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. (11) To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. (12) Through Silvanus, our faithful brother, as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand. (13) She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, greets you; and so does Mark, my son. (14) Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be to you all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Psalms 89:2-3,6-7,16-17
(2) I indeed declare, “Love stands firm forever. You established the heavens. Your faithfulness is in them.” (3) “I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David, my servant, (6) For who in the skies can be compared to Yahweh? Who among the sons of the heavenly beings is like Yahweh, (7) a very awesome God in the council of the holy ones, to be feared above all those who are around him? (16) In your name they rejoice all day. In your righteousness, they are exalted. (17) For you are the glory of their strength. In your favor, our horn will be exalted.

Mark 16:15-20
(15) He said to them, “Go into all the world, and preach the Good News to the whole creation. (16) He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned. (17) These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages; (18) they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (19) So then the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. (20) They went out, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen.
