1 John 3:7-10
Psalms 98:1,7-9
John 1:35-42

1 John 3:7-10
(7) Little children, let no one lead you astray. He who does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. (8) He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil. (9) Whoever is born of God doesn’t commit sin, because his seed remains in him; and he can’t sin, because he is born of God. (10) In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the devil. Whoever doesn’t do righteousness is not of God, neither is he who doesn’t love his brother.

Psalms 98:1,7-9
(1) Sing to Yahweh a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand, and his holy arm, have worked salvation for him. (7) Let the sea roar with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell therein. (8) Let the rivers clap their hands. Let the mountains sing for joy together. (9) Let them sing before Yahweh, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

John 1:35-42
(35) Again, the next day, John was standing with two of his disciples, (36) and he looked at Jesus as he walked, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!” (37) The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. (38) Jesus turned, and saw them following, and said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher), “where are you staying?” (39) He said to them, “Come, and see.” They came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day. It was about the tenth hour. (40) One of the two who heard John, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. (41) He first found his own brother, Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah!” (which is, being interpreted, Christ). (42) He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him, and said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is by interpretation, Peter).
