Romans 9:1-5
(1) I tell the truth in Christ. I am not lying, my conscience testifying with me in the Holy Spirit, (2) that I have great sorrow and unceasing pain in my heart. (3) For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brothers’ sake, my relatives according to the flesh, (4) who are Israelites; whose is the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service, and the promises; (5) of whom are the fathers, and from whom is Christ as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God, blessed forever. Amen.

Psalms 147:12-15,19-20
(12) Praise Yahweh, Jerusalem! Praise your God, Zion! (13) For he has strengthened the bars of your gates. He has blessed your children within you. (14) He makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat. (15) He sends out his commandment to the earth. His word runs very swiftly. (19) He shows his word to Jacob; his statutes and his ordinances to Israel. (20) He has not done this for just any nation. They don’t know his ordinances. Praise Yah!

Luke 14:1-6
(1) When he went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees on a Sabbath to eat bread, they were watching him. (2) Behold, a certain man who had dropsy was in front of him. (5) He answered them, “Which of you, if your son or an ox fell into a well, wouldn’t immediately pull him out on a Sabbath day?” (6) They couldn’t answer him regarding these things.
with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ (38) This is the first and great commandment. (39) A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ (40) The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”
