(7) He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear, (8) though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered. (9) Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation,
Psalms 31:2-6,15-16,20
(2) Bow down your ear to me. Deliver me speedily. Be to me a strong rock, a house of defense to save me. (3) For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me. (4) Pluck me out of the net that they have laid secretly for me, for you are my stronghold. (5) Into your hand I commend my spirit. You redeem me, Yahweh, God of truth. (6) I hate those who regard lying vanities, but I trust in Yahweh. (15) My times are in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me. (16) Make your face to shine on your servant. Save me in your loving kindness. (20) In the shelter of your presence you will hide them from the plotting of man. You will keep them secretly in a dwelling away from the strife of tongues.
John 19:25-27
(25) But there were standing by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. (26) Therefore when Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” (27) Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour, the disciple took her to his own home.
Luke 2:33-35
(33) Joseph and his mother were marveling at the things which were spoken concerning him, (34) and Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary, his mother, “Behold, this child is set for the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which is spoken against. (35) Yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
