1 Corinthians 12:12-14,27-31
(12) For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ. (13) For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all given to drink into one Spirit. (14) For the body is not one member, but many. (27) Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. (28) God has set some in the assembly: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracle workers, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, and various kinds of languages. (29) Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all miracle workers? (30) Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with various languages? Do all interpret? (31) But earnestly desire the best gifts. Moreover, I show a most excellent way to you.
Psalms 100:1-2,3,4,5
(1) Shout for joy to Yahweh, all you lands! (2) Serve Yahweh with gladness. Come before his presence with singing. (3) Know that Yahweh, he is God. It is he who has made us, and we are his. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. (4) Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, and bless his name. (5) For Yahweh is good. His loving kindness endures forever, his faithfulness to all generations.
Luke 7:16
(16) Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has visited his people!”
Luke 7:11-17
(11) Soon afterwards, he went to a city called Nain. Many of his disciples, along with a great multitude, went with him. (12) Now when he came near to the gate of the city, behold, one who was dead was carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. Many people of the city were with her. (13) When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, “Don’t cry.” (14) He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I tell you, arise!” (15) He who was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother. (16) Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has visited his people!” (17) This report went out concerning him in the whole of Judea, and in all the surrounding region.
