Colossians 1:21-23
(21) You, being in past times alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil deeds, (22) yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without defect and blameless before him, (23) if it is so that you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven; of which I, Paul, was made a servant.

Psalms 54:1-2,4,6
(1) Save me, God, by your name. Vindicate me in your might. (2) Hear my prayer, God. Listen to the words of my mouth. (4) Behold, God is my helper. The Lord is the one who sustains my soul. (6) With a free will offering, I will sacrifice to you. I will give thanks to your name, Yahweh, for it is good.

Luke 6:1-5
(1) Now on the second Sabbath after the first, he was going through the grain fields. His disciples plucked the heads of grain and ate, rubbing them in their hands. (2) But some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why do you do that which is not lawful to do on the Sabbath day?” (3) Jesus, answering them, said, “Haven’t you read what David did when he was hungry, he, and those who were with him; (4) how he entered into God’s house, and took and ate the show bread, and gave also to those who were with him, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone?” (5) He said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”
