The “Three Days of Darkness” is a prophecy that has captivated the imaginations of many Catholics throughout history. According to this prophecy, the world will experience three days of complete darkness, during which time demons will roam the earth and the faithful will be called upon to endure great suffering and trials.

The origins of the prophecy are unclear, but it has been attributed to a number of saints and mystics throughout history. Some believe it comes from St. Hildegard of Bingen, while others attribute it to St. Patrick or St. Teresa of Avila.

The prophecy of the Three Days of Darkness has also been associated with the Ten Plagues in the Book of Exodus and with the Apocalypse of John. The plague of unnatural darkness mentioned in the sixth seal and fifth vial of the Apocalypse has been seen as a possible parallel to the Three Days of Darkness.

However, the specifics of the prophecy are not found in either the Book of Exodus or the Apocalypse of John. The details of the prophecy are derived from private revelation, which makes the prophecy an obscure aspect of Catholicism.

Nonetheless, the prophecy has been embraced by some Catholics as a powerful and urgent message from God, emphasizing the importance of spiritual preparation and repentance.

The prophecy of the “Three Days of Darkness” is relatively simple: the world will be plunged into darkness for three days, during which time demons will roam the earth and cause great destruction and suffering. The faithful are urged to stay indoors during this time, with their doors and windows closed and covered, and to pray and repent for their sins.

The prophecy also states that during this time, a great purification will take place. Those who have prepared themselves spiritually will be protected, while those who have not will suffer greatly. The faithful are urged to make use of sacramentals such as holy water and blessed candles to protect themselves and their homes.

Blessed Anna Maria Taigi is the most known seer of the Three Days of Darkness and describes the event in this way:

There shall come over the whole earth an intense darkness lasting three days and three nights. Nothing can be seen, and the air will be laden with pestilence which will claim mainly, but not only, the enemies of religion. It will be impossible to use any man-made lighting during this darkness, except blessed candles. He, who out of curiosity, opens his window to look out, or leaves his home, will fall dead on the spot. During these three days, people should remain in their homes, pray the Rosary and beg God for mercy. All the enemies of the Church, whether known or unknown, will perish over the whole earth during that universal darkness, with the exception of a few whom God will soon convert. The air shall be infected by demons who will appear under all sorts of hideous forms.

The “Three Days of Darkness” prophecy has been interpreted in a variety of ways by different Catholic groups and individuals. Some see it as a literal prediction of a future event, while others see it as a metaphor for spiritual purification and transformation.

The prophecy of the “Three Days of Darkness” holds a fascination for Catholics worldwide, regardless of how they interpret it. Whether it is viewed as a portent of catastrophic events or an exhortation to deepen one’s spiritual life, the prophecy remains a potent symbol of the enigmatic and extraordinary character of Catholic prophecy.

  1. Still here.. And That worldly ended way before May 2023……But That’s why the call it corrupt Government Officials……..
    …………. Keep me updated.

CARNESIA NEW LIFE CHOPPA BUT STILL BEING HELD UNANNOUNCED!

  2. I believe in God and his son Jesus Christ. I was taught to pray from an early age but I did not understand the prayers until much later at age 12. That’s when I was confirmed in an Anglican Church and today I follow Christianity. God Bless us all.

    • Well man. I searched this because of the videos I’ve seen for April 8 24. Idk but I thought I’d throw that out there

    • Well. I’m thinking maybe 4/8/24 seeing I came to eat ghis because of the warnings of wmeclipse followed by 3 days of darkness

  3. According to Catholic answers, this prophecy is mainly hearsay. NONE of them can be directly attributed to any blessed or saint. This prophecy and the so-called ‘Illumination of conscience” is also in the same boat. I will pay big $$ for ORIGINAL sources for this information from these saints. The only clear concise information on the illumination of conscience comes from a non-approved apparition Garabandal. I am not by any means apposed to these prophecies, but just like any good Catholic, I just want the truth from a solid source, but so far, NONE exist.

  4. I’m beyond scared. I had a dream 2 days ago about 3 days of darkness. Everything was red and black. It was like if the moon was orange dark red but was like a sunset very dim.
I was profoundly scared and I kept praying to god in my dream to forgive me for all my sins. In my dream I was telling my family members not to leave the house and close all the doors and windows and to ask for forgiveness but they wouldn’t listen. And I would cry begging god to forgive me and repenting and telling him how much I love him and believe in him.

I went on Google trying to find answers because it was the strangest dream and felt so real. My desperation felt real in my dream.

Reading this article makes me question everything because I never knew this was a real or even mentioned in the Bible. I never read the Bible in my entire life. And why did I dream this? !

    • Your dream is an invitation for repentance and conversion. God loves you. He wants you to love Him in return.

      1) Read the Bible (usccb.org). It’s a tough collection of books and can be very confusing. It is also the living word of God. For some people, He speaks directly to them though the Bible and it is very clear. For others of us, we must struggle to understand and keep searching much like Lyra in The Golden Compass once she became an adult.

      2) Pray. Prayer is a conversation with God. Take time when praying to sit quietly and give God a chance to answer. One of the best places to pray is in a Eucharistic Adoration Chapel. If you cannot find one, contact your local Catholic Church to find out when Eucharistic Adoration is and go there and pray.

      3) Go to church. I recommend the Catholic Church. Learn about the mass before you make any final judgements; it may be confusing if you are not familiar with it. If you decide to become Catholic, then go through the process and you will experience profound relief once you are able to go to Confession.

      4) Invite your family and friends. You may need to pray and fast to help them be open to God’s invitations in their lives.

      5) “For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7) Regardless of the validity of the 3 days of darkness prophecy, God does not want us to fear. The Bible says “be not afraid” or some variation of that 365 times. If we have accepted His invitation to live according to his will, then we will eventually end up in Heaven. Let God be in control of the details, including the details for your loved ones. You do everything you can to open yourself up to God’s grace and living in God’s Will. Your job with your loved ones is to pray for them, not hinder them, and MAYBE invite them, but you must do it very gently.

      God Bless.

    • Just go to a Catholic Christian church. Go inside. Kneel down. Pray whatever is in your mind. When you feel inner peace, God has His chance to speak to you. Relax. Be a good person. Know that you are loved.

  5. Garabandal, Our Lady of the Roses & Medjugorje
are all not approved by the Catholic Church. They are also not condemned by the Church. I think all three of them speaks of the Three Days of Darkness? Garabandal & Medjugorje are both talking now like it is close. (UTube). We’re fortunate that a few like Fatima, Akita, Guadalupe
& Lourdes are approved. It takes the Church years to approve, I’ve been waiting for the “3 Days” for seventy years. My .other always takes about it. Didn’t Padre Pio also say how to prepare? I was praying it wouldn’t come till after WW3, the Famine, the Second Plague & the Anti-Christ’s three & half year rein?

  6. read Rev. 6:12 (SIXTH SEAL) and Rev. 16:20 (FIFTH VIAL) KJV. WHEN YOU READ ASK GOD TO GIVE YOU UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT YOU READ AND BELIEVE HE WILL DO SO AND AND KNOW THAT HE IS REAL YO. Also you will nee beeswax candles blessed by God; so ask Him to do so. Get those candles like yesterday yo. NO MAN-MADE LIGHTING WILL WORK AT THE TIME OF THE 3 DAYS OF DARKNESS. DON’T ANSWER THE DOOR FOR NOTHING THAT IS NOT WHO YOU THINK IT IS OUT THERE. DON’T BE DECIEVED, AND IF YOU OPEN THE DOOR OR LOOK OUT THE WINDOW YOU WILL DIE INSTANTLY. THE UNGODLY WON’T SURVIVE THIS, BUT SOME WILL BE CONVERTED AT THIS TIME AS WELL. SHARE, SHARE, SHARE, PRAY, FAST, AND REPENT AND DON’T CEASE WITH THE PRAYING YO. GO TO WIKIPEDIA AND SEARCH AND GET THREE DAYS OF DARKNESS ARTICLE AND SHARE WITH ALL YOU CAN NOW WARN THE PEOPLE SO THEIR BLOOD WON’T BE REQUIRED BY GOD. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR GET THIS YO!!! MAY GOD BE WITH US ALL THAT LOVE HIM IN SINCERITY

    • I love your comments. I feel the same way when people allude to something of which I should be aware, but I don’t know when I’m supposed to be aware of it or how long to prepare for it or whatever. I would’ve written the same type of message exactly only I might not have said “freaking” I might’ve said some thing a little bit more Vulgar. I’m not sure when it is either. Protestant preachers say it’s due any minute and Catholic teachers. I’m not sure it’s gonna happen at all so it’s always a schism in the body of Christ is confusing. Don’t worry about it too much I don’t have noticed if it’s coming just ask God to make sure you have some notice. Maybe he will be able to answer that is yes..

  7. Your all wrong read KJV and read all of the Bible.Last days is all through the Bible old testament and new testament.Revalations it gives everything you need to know about the coming of Jesus Christ.

    • KJV was written in 1611 for King James of Scotland, it was changed to appease the ppl of his kingdom. Also, many of the pages was borrowed from the Bible William Tynsdale ..from 1523

  8. I believe anything is possible in these times. I believe in repentance and prayer over ourselves and our families and households. With the current events happening in the world, power going out wifi being cut, yes it is very possible
Covid shutting down the whole world. There will be those who will rationalize when this does happen that it’s some government or terrorist action. Strange things are happening nearly every day in the US. I believe we need to
prepare and pray. To be prepared and forewarned is forearmed in Jesus’ Holy Name.

  9. What happens to all the sick in homes how to we pick to take care of our patients or to be w our family to support them and pray and keep your children from fear?

  10. What happens to all the sick in homes how do we pick to take care of our patients or to be w our family to support them and pray and keep your children from fear?

  11. What happens to babies, toddlers, deaf/dumb/mute disable and those autistics? Surely God won’t leave them here with no one to care for them?
