Pope Francis sent a video message to young people at the Med24 Meeting in Tirana, Albania, saying that religious diversity is a divine gift.

He told participants: “The diversity of your cultural and religious identities is a gift from God.”

Emphasizing that unity does not mean uniformity, he encouraged mutual respect among traditions. “Unity is not uniformity,” he said.

He urged the youth to care for the marginalized, especially migrants. “Please, take care of everybody: they are not simply numbers, but persons, and each person is sacred,” he emphasized.

The pope also highlighted Blessed Maria Tuci as an example of courageous faith to follow. “Their courage is a living witness that can inspire your commitment,” he said.

Entrusting them to Mary, “Mother of Good Counsel,” Pope Francis expressed hope that the Mediterranean would become “an expression of fraternity and peace.”
