There are some things so central to the Catholic faith that all Catholics should know them. Obviously, prayers such as the Our Father, Glory Be, and Hail Mary are essential, but what other vital information should a Catholic be able to share with others about the faith?
We’ve created a fun, simple quiz to help refresh your knowledge of a few of the most important things that Catholics should be aware of. There are many more things that we could include.
If you didn’t do quite as well as you hoped, there are many ways to grow in knowledge of your faith. We have a few books listed below to help you.
Don’t forget, that the most important aspect of your spiritual life is having a relationship with Jesus. If you put that first, the wisdom will come with time!

As a Catholic not from the US the question about the songs was a bummer, i only knew one ☺
The question about the songs *was* a bummer… it’s just a laundry list of crappy post-Vatican II “songs” which have pushed out the prominence of polyphony.
l did not get the quiz

Having recently finished my Catechism and joined the church on Easter Sunday…I had learned that there are 6 commandments of the church: Assist Mass every Sunday and Holy days of obligation, To fast and abstain on the days appointed, To confess our sins at least once a year, To receive Holy Communion during the Easter time, To contribute to the support of the church and Lastly, To observe the laws of the church concerning marriage. This information comes from the Baltimore Catechism. We were taught the traditional teachings of the church. Also, trafitionally speaking, there are 15 mysteries of the Rosary. The Luminous were added later and not all Catholics recognize them….Just some additional information 🙂 God Bless to all??
You are right, the first 15, the Joyful, sorrowful and Glorious are the traditional ones. These are the ones taught to the children of fatima by our Lady of the Immaculate conception. Pope John Paul 2 have us the luminious mysteries.
I think since John Paul ll is a cannoizedifferent said that now, and he intro used the Luminous Mysteries, I think they’re safe to be said. Plus, he was a a very Marian priest, bishop, Pope
Loved it! Do more!
Please send me info so I can keep learning
John Paul added 2 precepts so there are 7…
Assist at Mass
FAST AND OBSTAIN
CONFESS ONCE A Year
Re ieve communion during Easter
Controbute to the support of the Church
FOLLOW THE RULES OF MARRAI
AND TO EVANGELIZE
I did sing each and every one of the hymns. I think Amazing Grace doesn’t have “refrain” nevertheless I chose the right answer ???✨
AND THERE ARE THE REDEMPTIVE MYSTERYS THAT ARE COMING THAT FINISH THE MYSTERYS
Curious if anyone chose 15 mysteries and got it correct? I chose 20 thinking that would be the expected answer but I only pray 15 mysteries. Fun quiz, thank you for including the explanations. Sometimes we know the right answer but don’t always know why. Good job!
Too easy.
