2 Timothy 4:10-17
(10) for Demas left me, having loved this present world, and went to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia. (11) Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for service. (12) But I sent Tychicus to Ephesus. (13) Bring the cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus when you come, and the books, especially the parchments. (14) Alexander, the coppersmith, did much evil to me. The Lord will repay him according to his deeds, (15) of whom you also must beware; for he greatly opposed our words. (16) At my first defense, no one came to help me, but all left me. May it not be held against them. (17) But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
Psalms 145:10-13,17-18
(10) All your works will give thanks to you, Yahweh. Your saints will extol you. (11) They will speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk about your power; (12) to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, the glory of the majesty of his kingdom. (13) Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Your dominion endures throughout all generations. Yahweh is faithful in all his words, and loving in all his deeds. (17) Yahweh is righteous in all his ways, and gracious in all his works. (18) Yahweh is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Luke 10:1-9
(1) Now after these things, the Lord also appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two ahead of him into every city and place, where he was about to come. (2) Then he said to them, “The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest. (3) Go your ways. Behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves. (4) Carry no purse, nor wallet, nor sandals. Greet no one on the way. (5) Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’ (6) If a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you. (7) Remain in that same house, eating and drinking the things they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Don’t go from house to house. (8) Into whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat the things that are set before you. (9) Heal the sick who are therein, and tell them, ‘God’s Kingdom has come near to you.’
