Romans 5:12,15,17-19,20-21
(12) Therefore as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; and so death passed to all men, because all sinned. (15) But the free gift isn’t like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many. (17) For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ. (18) So then as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life. (19) For as through the one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous. (20) The law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly; (21) that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Psalms 40:7-10,17
(7) Then I said, “Behold, I have come. It is written about me in the book in the scroll. (8) I delight to do your will, my God. Yes, your law is within my heart.” (9) I have proclaimed glad news of righteousness in the great assembly. Behold, I will not seal my lips, Yahweh, you know. (10) I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart. I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation. I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great assembly. (17) But I am poor and needy. May the Lord think about me. You are my help and my deliverer. Don’t delay, my God.

Luke 12:35-38
(35) “Let your waist be dressed and your lamps burning. (36) Be like men watching for their lord, when he returns from the marriage feast; that, when he comes and knocks, they may immediately open to him. (37) Blessed are those servants, whom the lord will find watching when he comes. Most certainly I tell you, that he will dress himself, and make them recline, and will come and serve them. (38) They will be blessed if he comes in the second or third watch, and finds them so.
