  1. I like this episode of NO Apologies particularly since I hear more people complain how the church was repressive to Galileo and science and free thought in general. But with this episode it helped me know and at least react to other people misconceptions. But I myself have questions: why would Galileo’s disobedience be considered heresy? I thought heresy was more related to teachings of the Church? Was science during that time also considered teaching of the Church? If the Church was adamant in letting Galileo prove his hypotheses and the punishments severe if he didn’t follow the Church’s mandate when the Church also have mysteries about what we believe that we cannot outright explain?
