Many protestant groups hold that once a person accepts Christ as Saviour, he is at that moment saved and there is nothing the person can do to lose that salvation. But the Bible is clear that like Adam and Eve we are able to fall from grace.

  1. Adam and Eve is a wrong example because they were not saved by Christ. It was Christ that saved us from original sin

  2. If St. Paul exhorted us to keep up the good fight and bear our cross to the very end as St. Paul did until death, how does that work with once saved always saved? Is the effort to live the Faith and to love others as ourselves and as God loves us to be considered optional?

  3. If it is once saved always saved. When Jesus was baptized in the river jordan and the Holy Spirit descended on him like a dove, why didn’t He just pack it in and call it a day? Aren’t we called to follow Him?

    • Jesus came down as God’s son to die for all our sins past, present and future and the bible makes it very clear that its a heart thing, I mean first you need accept Jesus as Savior then the Holy Spirit comes to live inside your heart and helps you to live a life of obedience. The Lord God knows your heart and when ask him into your life and Jesus is Savior of your life you will be saved. The Catholic church is misleading you its all about works and things you have to do. Please Read the book of John over and over I did three times and then my Catholic eyes were opened to the truth. In the book of John read chapter 3 I am praying God will speak to your heart.
