  1. I have a question and I am sure you can anwser. I was told yesterday that when someone get married by the church this means you are willing to start a family. They said you should not get married by the church if you do not intend to have children. Is this true? I have tried searching for this answer and I can’t find. Please help.

    Thank you,
    Esther H

  2. Yes, one of the main parts of Marriage is to be open to new life. This doesn’t mean you have to start having children right away. But it does mean a married couple is open to life each time they join in a conjugal act of love. That is also why the Church teaches against the use of contraceptives, etc.
