For; Augustine, my grandfather, whom I never met but felt nearby. He was born in Canada but his parents had left Sicily only a few years before. They both died in 1942, when my dad was 12. He had Masses said for Grandpa’s soul each year for 25yrs on the anniversary of his death. This week marks his birthday and his death. (1901-1960) May the divine assistance remain always with us and may the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon them. Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins and save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of Your mercy. Amen.

Almighty Father, The God of the Prophets, Patriarchs and the Apostles. Heavenly Father, the Beginning and the End. The Alpha and the Omega.
