Sirach 26:1-3,15-18
(1) Happy is the husband of a good wife; And the number of his days will be twofold. (2) A brave woman rejoices her husband; And he will fulfil his years in peace. (3) A good wife is a good portion: She will be given in the portion of such as fear the Lord. (15) A shamefast woman is grace upon grace; And there is no price worthy of a continent soul. (16) As the sun when it arises in the highest places of the Lord, So is the beauty of a good wife in the ordering of a man’s house. (17) As the lamp that shineth upon the holy candlestick, So is the beauty of the face in ripe age. (18) As the golden pillars are upon a base of silver, So are beautiful feet with the breasts of one that is stedfast.

1 Timothy 5:3-10
(3) Honor widows who are widows indeed. (4) But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety towards their own family, and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God. (5) Now she who is a widow indeed, and desolate, has her hope set on God, and continues in petitions and prayers night and day. (6) But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives. (7) Also command these things, that they may be without reproach. (8) But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever. (9) Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man, (10) being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.

Psalms 31:3-4,7-8,19,23-24
(3) For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me. (4) Pluck me out of the net that they have laid secretly for me, for you are my stronghold. (7) I will be glad and rejoice in your loving kindness, for you have seen my affliction. You have known my soul in adversities. (8) You have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy. You have set my feet in a large place. (19) Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men! (23) Oh love Yahweh, all you his saints! Yahweh preserves the faithful, and fully recompenses him who behaves arrogantly. (24) Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in Yahweh.

Matthew 25:31-40
(31) “But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. (32) Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. (33) He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. (34) Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; (35) for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. (36) I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.’ (37) “Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? (38) When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? (39) When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’ (40) “The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
