Malachi 3:13-18,4:1-2
(13) “Your words have been stout against me,” says Yahweh. “Yet you say, ‘What have we spoken against you?’ (14) You have said, ‘It is vain to serve God;’ and ‘What profit is it that we have followed his instructions, and that we have walked mournfully before Yahweh of Armies? (15) Now we call the proud happy; yes, those who work wickedness are built up; yes, they tempt God, and escape.’ (16) Then those who feared Yahweh spoke one with another; and Yahweh listened, and heard, and a book of memory was written before him, for those who feared Yahweh, and who honored his name. (17) They shall be mine,” says Yahweh of Armies, “my own possession in the day that I make, and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him. (18) Then you shall return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who doesn’t serve him. (1) “For, behold, the day comes, it burns as a furnace; and all the proud, and all who work wickedness, will be stubble; and the day that comes will burn them up,” says Yahweh of Armies, “that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. (2) But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out, and leap like calves of the stall.

Psalms 1:1-4,6
(1) Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand on the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; (2) but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night. (3) He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that produces its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper. (4) The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. (6) For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

Luke 11:5-13
(5) He said to them, “Which of you, if you go to a friend at midnight, and tell him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, (6) for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him,’ (7) and he from within will answer and say, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I can’t get up and give it to you’? (8) I tell you, although he will not rise and give it to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, he will get up and give him as many as he needs. (9) “I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you. (10) For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. (11) “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won’t give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? (12) Or if he asks for an egg, he won’t give him a scorpion, will he? (13) If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”
