Why Confess Your Sins to a Priest? Isn’t Christ the only mediator between man and God?
As I understand it, the Orthodox formula for absolution is in the passive voice, your sins are forgiven.
to be reconciled with God means to reconcile yourself with each other and therefore share this wonderful gift ?……beyond seeing splinters through our own planks.
